1. No gold plating in the hole
 
When the thickness of the outer surface of the plated part reaches or exceeds the specified thickness after the gold plating process of the pin or socket of the connector is completed, the coating of the inner hole of the welding wire hole or socket is very thin or even no gold layer.
 
2. Plated parts are inserted against each other during gold plating
 
In order to ensure that the jack of the connector has a certain elasticity when the jack is plugged and unplugged, most types of jacks have a split groove designed at the mouth during product design. During the electroplating process, the plated parts are constantly turned over and some jacks are inserted into each other at the opening, resulting in mutual shielding of the power lines at the plug-in parts, resulting in difficulty in electroplating in the holes.
 
3. Plated parts end to end when gilding
 
Some kinds of connectorsPinIn the design, the outer diameter of the needle bar is slightly smaller than the aperture size of the wire hole, and some of the pins will be connected end to end during the electroplating process, resulting in no gold plating into the wire hole.
 
4. Impurities of gold-plated raw materials
 
When the impurities brought by the chemical materials added to the plating solution exceed the tolerance of the gold plating solution, it will soon affect the color and brightness of the gold layer. If it is affected by organic impurities, the gold layer will become dark and flower-bearing, and the test piece will be checked for dark and flower-bearing positions. If the metal impurity interferes, the effective range of current density will be narrowed. The test shows that the low end of the current density of the test piece is not bright or the high-quality plating is not bright. Reflected on the plated parts is the coating red or even black, the color change in the hole is more obvious.
 
5. The current density of gold plating is too large
 
Due to the wrong calculation of the total area of the plating tank parts, its value is greater than the actual surface area, so that the amount of gold plating current is too large, or the amplitude is too small when vibration plating gold, so that all or part of the gold plating in the tank is crystallized and rough, and the gold layer is visually red.
